Newsbuzz.esy.es is committed to providing a safe Web site for people of all ages. We are dedicated to safeguarding any personal information collected online and to helping our visitors to learn how to exercise control over personal information while exploring the Internet. The Information We Collect
At Newsbuzz.esy.es we only collect personal information during the registration and post complaint process. Visitors are required to be 14 years or older to create a complaint. During the registration we collect a full name and a valid e-mail address.; When a new complaint is created, we may collect additional information including, a poster’s address, telephone number, gender, date of birth, and certain Computer Information (see below)., and we may also ask additional questions regarding poster’s experience with the company he/she complains about and regarding personal preferences on a number of topics when visitors create a new complaint. For certain enhanced services, we also may collect billing information provided by PayPal. Additionally, when visitors come to our site, we automatically collect some non-personally identifiable “computer” information, such as the type of computer operating system (e.g., Windows XP or Mac OS), the visitor’s “IP Address”, the web browser (e.g., Netscape, Internet Explorer) being used, information collected through the use of cookies (see below) and information regarding the Internet service provider (“Computer Information”). This non-personally-identifiable information may be shared with third-parties to provide more relevant services and advertisements to members. User IP addresses are recorded for security and monitoring purposes.
How We Use the Information
We use the complaint information for our internal statistical purposes including research and development and for rebuttals. Complaint information including pictures and sign-in names are displayed to people in order to facilitate user interaction and comments in the Newsbuzz.esy.es community. We may also share public information contained in a complaint with third parties at our discretion. NEWSBUZZ will not share a user’s e-mail address or other Personal Information with such third parties, unless required to do so by law or when a release of such information has been expressly authorized by the user. Email addresses are used for the purposes of sending notifications related to the service.
We use visitors’ Personal Information for our internal purposes of enabling visitors to enter one of our online contests or sweepstakes, to subscribe to our online newsletter, or to inform visitors of upcoming events and special announcements. Each e-mail contains instructions on how to be removed from the subscription list.
We may use information about visitors, such as age, gender and interests for improving our reporting on aggregate basis and for targeting service tailored to specific visitors’ requirements. Additionally, in the event that all or substantially all of Opinion Corp’s stock and/or assets are transferred or sold to another entity, Opinion Corp may transfer such information and information collected to the acquiring entity.
Upon visitor’s consent, we may disclose visitor’s information, including Personal Information, to companies participating in our Business Solutions Program.
We may disclose information about our visitors, including Personal Information (e.g., registration information, e-mail address, content of Consent), as well as Computer Information, when legally required to do so, at the request of governmental authorities conducting an investigation, to verify or enforce compliance with the policies governing our Site and applicable laws, or to protect against misuse or unauthorized use of the Site. Contests and Sweepstakes
Newsbuzz.esy.es occasionally offers contests and sweepstakes, which may be entered online. Only registered members can participate in contests. All the information collected by Newsbuzz.esy.es is securely maintained and used only for the purpose of conducting and fulfillment of the contest or sweepstakes. Once the contest or sweepstakes if finished, we delete any personal information collected”. The information collected in a Newsbuzz.esy.es sweepstakes may be passed to a fulfillment house which may use the information to help run the contest or sweepstakes. Any such fulfillment house may not use the information for other purposes and must agree to maintain the confidentiality of the information.
Collection of Information by Third-Party Sites and Sponsors Our site contains links to other sites, including those of sponsors, advertisers and survey companies.
