Marianne Williamson hires former Bernie Sanders staffer accused of sex harassment

Marianne Williamson reportedly hired a former adviser to Bernie Sanders who has been accused of forcibly kissing a female staffer and making a reference to her riding his “pole” at a hookah bar.
Williamson, a spiritual adviser and presidential hopeful, told Politico on Friday that she believed in the “redemption” of Robert Becker who allegedly forcibly kissed a female subordinate and put his tongue in her mouth on the final night of the 2016 Democratic National Convention.
“I believe in forgiveness. I believe in redemption,” Williamson told the newspaper. “I believe in people rising up after they’ve fallen down.”
Sanders’ campaign was celebrating the end of his long shot bid for the nomination in 2016 when Becker told the 20-year-old staffer he wanted to have sex with her and made the reference to his “pole.”
Becker “categorically denied” the allegations against him when they were reported in January.
Williamson said Friday she “had not read anything or heard anything that made me feel this was a man who never deserved to work again.”
The author has been a favorite among internet denizens for her eccentric style during the Democratic presidential debates but she barely shows up in many of the polls.
